About > Our Beliefs
God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, as given through the prophets and apostles and perfectly preserved in the King James Bible, alone and in its entirety is to be the Sole Authority for faith and practice in the Church. 2 Tim. 3:16-17, Deut. 4:2, Prov. 30:5, Rev. 22:18-19
When we repent of our former rebellion and sin, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and are truly “born-again” (John 3:3-8), we become the immediate recipients of eternal life; we are immediately justified (Rom. 3:24-25), adopted (Rom 8:15-17), sealed by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13, 4:30), and regenerated (given new life and empowered with a new nature); we are therefore forever “kept by the power of God” to an eternal inheritance that cannot be “lost,” as it is “incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” 1 Pet. 1:3-5, John 5:24, 2 Cor. 5:17; John 10:25-29, Heb. 9:12 & 10:9-14, etc.
We believe in the literal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth in power and glory, to commence His personal reign and rule as King over all the earth for one thousand years. Rev. 20:1-6; Matt. 24:29-31; 2 Tim. 4:1; Isaiah 9:6-7 & 2:1-4, 1 Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18; Php. 3:20-21, etc.
We further believe as taught in Matt. 24:29-31, Rom. 8:18-23, 2 Thes. 2:1-8, 1 Cor. 15:51-52, etc. that the saints will be gathered together to Christ at His glorious return “immediately after the tribulation of those days,” and not before. We therefore also believe that the saints are to be on guard against any implementation of the “mark of the beast” of Rev. 13, and that the present social security system and the numbering of the people thereby is a precursor to such a system that God’s people should be wary of.
…including the triune nature of God, the deity and virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, and justification by grace through faith apart from any works or ritual. Salvation is available through faith alone in Christ’s vicarious atoning death on the cross of Calvary, and in His bodily resurrection 3 days thereafter.
The state has no authority to support or enforce, nor to oppose or limit, the free exercise of any religion that causes no common law harm to other men. Because the Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice in the church, extra-biblical statute law has no authority in the church. Acts 5:29; 1 Cor. 6:1-8; Rom. 13:1-4; Matt. 18:15-18. The Lord Jesus is “head over all things to the church” (Eph. 1:22, Col. 1:18, etc.); therefore the state has no authority whatsoever over church affairs. Eph. 1:22 & 5:23; Col. 1:18; Matt. 16:18; Acts 17:7.
As for Christ’s Church – We reject the popular doctrine of a universal, invisible/spiritual church, and believe that at the present time Christ’s Church exists only in local, visible assemblies; that His Church will never be invisible, and will not be universal until all saints are gathered into one assembly at His glorious return and the marriage supper of the Lamb.
As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we are commanded, and therefore have every right and duty under God, to go into all the world to preach the gospel and to make disciples of all men. Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 5:29; 1 Cor. 9:16.
